Make your Jailbroken Iphone 4/ 3GS on iOS 5.0.1 Faster than which Jailbroken by Redsn0w 0.9.10B3 and How to Update to iOS 5.0.1 and Jailbreak it with No errors by Sn0wbreez 2.9. that depends on creating Custom iOS 5.0.1 by Sn0wBreez 2.9 and changing the Root C:/ Size from the default 1000 MB to 2024 MB and it will make a big different change on your iDevice Speed.
Requirement Tools :
1- Download iOS 5.0.1 IPSW Odfficial.
2- Download Sn0wbreez v2.9 [UnTethered Type]
3- Download iTunes 10.5.2.
Do these Step by Step Guide:
1- Launch Sn0wBreez 2.9.
2- Browse for your iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4 [for example]
3- Click OK on your IPSW to Choose.
4- Sn0wBreez will Verify your IPSW.
5- Goto Expert Mode. [Very Important]
6- Choose General icon and press on the right arrow.
7- Very Important
Change your Current C:/ Root from the default size from 1000 MB to 2024 then Press Continue.
8- Now Choose BUILD IPSW and the press on the right arrow to continue.
10- Now you have finished Creating the Custom Jailbroken iOS 5.0.1 and you will find it on your Computer Desktop.
11- Now You Must Put your iPhone on DFU Pwner [Greenpois0n] by iReb. [ Follow the Steps]
at the Latest Step Launch iTunes 10.5.2 and Browse for your New Custom Sn0wbreez iOS 5.0.1 then Press Restore
it will take about 15 Min.
Now you will find your phone faster than which updated Normaly and Jailbroken by Redsn0w.
You can try to Power on/off and see how it became Fast.

Are you sure this does make a difference? I’ve got like 200mb left in my iOS petention, and I love the Cydia crap..

Hmmm… they should include a video comparing the two jailbroken devices, one with 2024mb partition and 1000mb partition. So we can see the real difference. But I believe it only affects the booting time of the device.

I tested it with my iPod touch 4G.
Conclusion is : it does make difference.
I had had my iPod jailbroken with Redsn0w first version of untethered.
At this status, I jailbroken it directly using Sn0wbreeze mention above, setting root capacity for 2024MB (2GB is exactly 2048MB, right? Anyway.)
Then restored from my iTunes backup, installing all contents and apps. As well as Cydia. All packages and background daemons– Made my iPod exactly the same state as before.
I feel it is less laggy. I don’t know how to express but at least it is right that this makes difference. If your device is a little bit laggy, then you might be need to JB it again.
salve io ho creato il file ipsw però quando vado ad aprire Redsnow b4 mi da l’errore…… quindi si è costretti a farlo per forza dopo la procedura sopra elencata? comunque sono un po incerto nel fare questa operazione anche perchè non sò come sono riuscito a risolvere il bug di ibook quindi non sto avendo problemi.
prejudice I have created the ipsw file but when I go to open the error Redsnow b4 me ……then you have to do it by force after the procedure listed above? however, are somewhatuncertain in doing this also because I do not know how I managed to fix the bug of the iBookso I’m not having problems.
my iP4 is already jailbroken (with redsnow 0.9.10b3), will it have any conflict if I do this snowbreeze 2.9 root 2gb?

The memory of my 3GS 5.0.1 was drained out after jailbreak using snowbreeze v2.9. It’s too slow. Previously, it work well on fw 4.3.3. I really did not know what happen to 5.0.1.
how come on cydia>storage it says 1.2gb but i increased it too 2gb

Worked flawlessly. I’ve had the worst luck with iOS 5 since it was in beta..had one round it actually worked and when corona was released through redsnow I had conflicts between location services and all other radio signals (no service loop when using gps)
sn0wbreeze 2.9 FIXED my location services – I can now use the gps without cycling GSM/Wifi signal.
I increased the C root (like mentioned in this post) from 1024 to 3034 – might be over kill but my phone seems to be running a lot smoother.
For people who might be experiencing signal loops when using location services here is what I did:
After changing the root partition from 1024 to 2024 (like mentioned in post)
click “Unlocks” and select install 6.15.00 baseband (read warnings – proceed at own risk)

well i tested this in my iphone 3gs 32 gb and its working very fast , before without snowbreeze ipsw was slow when i jailbroken so redsn0w jailbreak makes your idevice with lag so if you change to 2024 mb r00t partition there is a big diference

Guys i have tried this on iphone 3gs and yes it does make a huge difference! I have noticed my iphone runs perfectly without hanging or slowing down just like it did on ios4… i didnt read this article before posting here but i certainly wanted to share this somewhere, when i searched it already had been posted here, so rather than reposting shit on the internet i better acknowledge it here
