Give your Signature for Jailbreaking is not a Crime

by on January 26, 2012

Jailbreaking Is Not A Crime ? The Electronic Frontier Foundation has started a petition at jailbreakingisnotacrime.org to ensure jailbreaking is kept legal.

Back in July of 2010 the Copyright Office added an exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) which made jailbreaking your smartphone legal. The exemption is set to expire after three years and the EFF is trying to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Jailbreaking Is Not A Crime

The petition at jailbreakingisnotacrime.org will let you add your support to a letter written by Bunnie Huang, author of Hacking the Xbox. The EFF would also like those who can write their own letter to submit their defense of jailbreaking to the Copyright Office. You can find more information about that here.

At the very least we would urge you to add your signature to the petition. There’s only 14 days left to sign!

Fuck SOPA and PIPA. The world has changed after sweeping riots broke out in USA in the guise of Occupy Wall Street. The monopoly of the World in the hand of 13 great families of illuminati needs to come to an end. Every endeavour needs to be made keep these big boss companies like Microsoft, Apple, etc from pushing the Congress to pass the legislation bill that is hell bent upon destroying the freedom of software piracy.

Not a crime…we pay damn good money for a device…and NO ONE should tell us what we can or cannot do with it. I support jail breaking is not a crime 100%

The moment you paid the full value of a device you have the full rights of it, meaning you can do whatever you like …  if you took a loan for a house and you paid that loan off..the house is yours right..same goes for smartphones..you paid so it’s yours

Jaibreaking definitely NOT a crime its a valiant effort / fight against the AUTOCRATIC behavior of so called software giants in the industry. We should all unite and fight for open-source as we deserve it and let those company executives deal with their dwindling dividends…..
