A few days after the release of Absinthe and the jailbreak untethered iOS 5.0.1 iPhone 4S, users who have unlocked your device using this tool in some cases have even noticed a slight improvement in battery life. Installed it via iFile and rebooted. Everything seems to be normal. Will observe a couple of days. But how to uninstall if it doesn’t work?

nobody says how to actually UNINSTALL it though.  I found it didn’t really do anything.  So I started to be concerned about the security of the phone (namely theft of my Siri authentication key).  Maybe there’s nothing to worry about by using it, but then again, I didn’t see any improvement in battery life anyways.  To uninstall it, I did the following:

1. Open mobile terminal.
2. Type su and enter your root password. (please change default password alpine to something else!!)
3. Type: dpkg -l > /private/var/mobile/Media/packages.txt
4. Open ifile.  Navigate to packages.txt.
5. What I found was: com.sull.batteryfixios5 version 1.0-4, Description: Fuck off (yes, lovely description!)
6. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
7. Type dpkg -r com.sull.batteryfixios5.

You should see:

Modification Removed.
