iOS 5.0 IPSW Has More than 200 New Features :

So far Apple has release 6 beta versions of iOS 5 ipsw firmware for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad 2, 1 and Apple TV 2G. Apple is fixing dozens of bugs in every beta release and unveiling more new features. It’s expected that Apple will release iOS 5 GM (Gold Master) within the next few days / weeks. iOS 5.0 IPSW Firmware – Jailbreak Possibility ?
We have to separate iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) into two categories based on their processor. Precisely, when we going to talk about iOS 5 jailbreak we have to put all A5-processor devices in one group and all other iOS devices on another group. So we have to put iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G and iPad 1 in the first group and iPhone 5 and iPad 2 in the second group.
iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad 1 – iOS 5.0 ipsw Jailbreak (first group):
Likely, jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad 1 will be easy , as the iPhone dev-team and iH8sn0w have successfully jailbroke all iOS 5 beta version with redsn0w and sn0wbreeze but this was tethered jailbreak. So the only challenge is to develop redsn0w, sn0wbreeze and all jailbreak tools to be untethered jailbreak.
iPhone 5 and iPad 2 – iOS 5.0 ipsw Jailbreak (Second group):
Jailbreak iPhone 5 and iPad 2 won’t be an easy task. For who don’t know, the only exploit found in iPad 2 jailbreak was a userland exploit which took more than 1 year to develop by Comex, the well-known iPhone hacker and the brain behind Jailbreakme 2.0 / 3.0, and then Apple came simply and patched it on iOS 4.3.4 firmware update. Actually to get long lifetime iPhone 5 / iPad 2 jailbreak, we need bootrom exploit as the limera1n bootrom exploit that discovered by the well-known hacker George Hotz (aka Geohot) on October 2010. Limera1n exploit was a hardware exploit which mean that Apple couldn’t patch this exploit unless they upgrade devices’ hardware. This was exactly what happened in iPad 2 and make it very difficult to jailbreak. Our conclusion that jailbreak iPhone 5 / iPad 2 will not be easy. So far and from our background of jailbreak scene, the only hacker that will be able to jailbreak iPhone 5 is Geohot. Jailbreak scene is actually missing him.

well wha i mean you need to do a DFU restore not an update, at least it worked for me. the IPSW i downloaded is marked as a restore,
