We remind you that the latest version of Redsn0w causes an unstable jailbreak for iPhone 3G iOS 4.1.
You can make a jailbreak your iPhone 4.1 with sub iOS version of PwnageTool amended.
For Mac users only. For Windows users, use the custom iOS 4.1.
Add download links iOS customize 4.1 jailbroken by readers.
Required:
- IPhone 3G only.
- iOS 4.1 for iPhone 3G.
- iTunes v10.0 or earlier version
- Official PwnageTool 4.0.1.
- The file iPhone1, 2_4.1_8B117.bundle_v0.zip.
- Open ssl and Open ssh file in debs.
- Right click on the PwnageTool software on your desktop.
- Then click on “Show Package Contents“
- Go to Contents / Resources / FirmwareBundles /
- Then copy the fichieriPhone1, 2_4.1_8B117.bundle_v0.zip
You have thus preserved the baseband version of your iPhone unlocked for use Ultrasn0w via Cydia inconsistent iOS 4.1.

- IPhone1, 2_4.1_8B117_Custom_Restore.ipsw by vankemenade.
- IPhone1, 2_4.1_8B117_Custom_Restore.ipsw by db.
Installation
- The restoration of the custom seems a jailbreak with jalbreakMe.
- It seems possible to restore the custom from the official version 4.1 on your iPhone 3G.
- Launch iTunes v10.0 or old version.
- Click SHIFT + Restore (Windows)
- If this does not work, go into DFU mode or Recovery before starting the restoration.
- Give him the custom jailbreak iOS 4.1
- After restoring your custom, finish installing Cydia

It works! but I have one big trouble, I can´t syncronize the Iphone with Itunes after the restore, what can I do?
Well the 1st shot didn´t work but then i tryed again and it worked but i did some experiments on it by funbox eg… adding my carrier bundle that don´t come native on iphone plus the folders of the activation or hackactivation i replaced it by the older ones of 4.0.1 apart from that i don´t think it worked all by doing that but a get a message of activating is pending lol… i did it with a vodafone SIM from portugal but my carrier its a different one and i passed on itunes SIM with vodafone SIM and with my current not but still don´t have sure if the iphone is locked to vodafone since i bought it from a guy who sold me jailbreaked and unlocked

i used the IPhone1, 2_4.1_8B117_Custom_Restore.ipsw by vankemenade. and it worked great! i have a jailbroken iphone 3g with everything and works flawlessly….. any questions email me..
1. download firmware and save to desktop
2. download Ireb 4.1
3. start Ireb and put phone in dfu mode and run its process
4. hold shift down and click restore in itunes and choose the custom firmware you downloaded here and let it run its process and at the end you should have a jailbroken device..

i have an iphone 3g with version 3.1.3 jailbroken and unlocked baseband 5.12,01. all i want to do is be able to update to 4.1 jailbreak and unlock, can someone please tell me the easy way to do this ? i used ultrasn0w to unlock via cydia, so loads of stuff on the net saying dont go to 4.1 as u cant unlock, so confused and need help, anyone ????? even skype me a message @ maddog7627
